When i said about laying lots of footprints down to then eventually create an image we then realised this was like an artwork that was made in 1997 a portrait of a child murdered Myra Hindley. The painting was made out of children’s hand prints. The painting caused a lot of controversy due to the juxtaposition of innocent children’s hands and the face of a not so innocent adult. However the image is very memorable which is what i want to create but of course the message behind our image in the drill hall wont relate to anything controversial, it would relate to the themes of our piece- war- volunteers- death of soldiers- only themes that are relevant to our space
