After deciding we wanted to make Poppies to represent the fallen soldiers we needed to find out how to make them. After searching on YouTube we found this video showing a way to make them quite easily. After watching it a few times we decided to keep the basic steps but not put as much detail in them so that they still looked good but were easy to make in a mass scale. Our aim is to make 1915 to represent the year 1915 and the 100 years that have passed since WWI. We are also going to hang them on the wall with gardening string so that it represents that we are giving the soldiers as medals to the Drill Hall and honouring both the soldiers and the Drill Hall itself. We are using masking tape to stick them to the wall to represent bandages and the pain that the soldiers went through.
